1. This song is where it all started. Without Macklemore I don’t know if we would have ever had a meal like we did at Case talking for literal hours. Many would be surprised we are such a match for friends but I’m so lucky to have you as one of my ride or dies.
2. This is the album that changed the world. I remember we were both up at midnight when it dropped. We were studying for finals because Beyoncé likes to mess with us. We both listened to it into the early morning while getting ready for our tests. It was so cool to witness music history and have you as gagged as I was. This is one of my favorites from the record, though they are all amazing. From this album drop to seeing her at the Renaissance tour, being a die hard Beyoncé fan with you is one of my favorite parts of our friendship.
3.I mean of course I put something from Acid Rap on here. I was a very early Chance listener, as were you. I still cannot believe we got into that album release party (even though you were puking on the way there sick as hell). That night was crazy and we are blessed he didn’t play the Big Day at all. May the Chance we know and love return one day - it seems like we might be close….
4.Aside from our shared love of hip hop, I love getting to share my favorite vocalists with you. Chappell is my current obsession as we are all very aware. I remember playing this for you and you loving her voice. To me this song represents well how we share things we enjoy with one another. We come from such different backgrounds and I love learning from each other
5.If you don’t listen to RAYE you need to start. She is so amazing. I really think you would love here. So here’s a new tune for you

Sy, you met me when I was 22 years old and a national security threat, and you've actually watched my frontal lobe develop in real time. Thank you for still being my friend. But seriously, thank you for being my friend you have been impactful on my life whether you know it or not; you are dedicated, possess strong conviction, poised but still silly, and those are all the best things a person could be. You are solid and honest. I also only hope one day I can be as well dressed as you. You've known I was gay from the day you met me (LOL) and I appreciate you seeing straight to my core before I think I even knew fully who I was. You and Shelli have been a gift to my life in so many ways.

These songs dont have any particularly deep connection but they never fail to make me feel better or at least sing i guess, when im in a bad mood so it kinda helps in that way. I know my generation is very different to yours so i dont know if this would even help you but these would be my top 5.
They are volatile though because i have other songs that do this from various artists, i hope if you’ve never heard that you’ll like em.
